(10/10)
We have been to Craig Tara 3 times so far this season and I am just about to book again for the October break.
The staff are friendly and helpful and the 'Funstars' actually seem to enjoy what they are doing. They provide fun family entertainment without patronising the children or being sarcastic. (I observed some poor entertainment at another |Haven site where this was the case).
The pool was clean and had plenty of space to accomodate a large amount of guests. I have been in peak season too, so it was very busy, but surprisingly easy to access facilities without queing.
I have been to the park on both a Self-Catering and Half Board basis and enjoyed both. The food was good and there was plenty of choice. The kitchen staff are rigorous about recieving your meal tickets for half board customers, and can verge on rudeness at times. However a lot of the staff we encountered in there were Polish, so I feel there was a communication barrier.
We have recieved clean accomodation in caravans and chalets. It is a shame that the half board chalets do not have any kitchen facilities but we made do.
Ayr is a lovely place and we have found plenty to keep us all occupied. We did travel around Scotland a bit and found it a good base, whatever the weather, for some family fun!
