Booked Hafan Y Mor, first time with Haven Holidays - half board Easter weekend.
Check in 4pm, by the time we checked in an got to our chalet was 5pm....Restaurant meals from 5-6.30pm......bit of a treck to the main part from our chalet. By the time we had got there and eaten was now 6.15pm ....even though bright sunny day, pool closed 5.45pm , mini golf closed 6.00pm , go karts closed 6.00pm, kids show started at 5.00pm......great!!
Bingo in the main showbar and arcades ... :(
Day 2....go to the beach only to find, rock climbing with a three year old not the best activity. Went to the splash centre which was fine, but then closes at dinner and reopens later in the afternoon.
Day 3....drove off site and went to rabbit farm down the road which is good and a trip to Harlech beach, great sand castles built, kids loved it.
The site was clean , the food was good, the chalet although basic was clean and tidy.
The problems are basic....
Need more information of what is going on and what time.....
Things need to stay open a bit longer than they do. A lot of the activities start the same time as the food hall opens, so you either eat and miss most of it, or see some of the shows etc but then fail to eat ..
I would recommend going self catering....
Kids end up bored in the arcades beacause they have missed most things....

Chalet accomodation booked. october 09
where to check in was not made obvious, it wasnt in reception...took ages to find.so off to a bad start!
We took a 3wk old baby, only to find that once we were allocated our chalet keys there was a 3/4 mile walk from the car to the Challet! which wasnt mentioned anywhere that there wasnt parking near the accomodation. so as a single mum taking a 13yr old and a 3wk old baby away it was an absolute nightmare to get all of the things from then car to the challet then up 2 flights of stairs.
Once we had settled in, then decided to look arround, the site was in pitch black darkness, no lights along the roadside to see where you were going, no signposts to give directions as to how to drive to the entrance/exit, as the park operates a 1 way system around it for cars.
Rooms clean with constant heating supplied and everything you need for a cheap selfcatering holiday, having stayed at thorpe park, reighton sands, golden sands, hafan y mor does come bottom of the list.
Good points:
>staff helpful
>caravans seemed better positioned, and better lit
>plenty to do in arcade for mid range kids eg pool, air hockey, bowling, coin slots
>nice restaurant, good food.
>good cheap base for touring north wales
Recomendations>>>
>go when the nights are still light
>book a caravan not a chalet if you are the only adult in your group
