Presthaven Sands Holiday Reviews

(7/10)

A family of 4 with 2 teenagers, our service on arrival was great, the only issue we had was that our caravan had not been chained down, after complaing at reception, the problem had been solved by the time we arrived back at our caravan.

We ate at the mash and barrel on 3 occasions and the food and service was good but it was pricey. Although the evening entertainment was for younger children our kids enjoyed it, it was unfair that the carousel bar was closed to non-caravan owners on a Saturday evening so the caravan owners could have a good old knees up (we were not told this until we got to the front of the queue to get in).

Leisure team was excellent with alot of patience and took time to chat to the kids, additional activities were fantastic (activity pass, to be booked before arrival as this was not available to purchase on site).

Security guards constantly driving around the site, while security on the doors in the evenings were more intersted in chatting up young girls and giving them times and directions to their caravan.

Watch the jelly fish on the beach, there is loads of them.

An overall good family holiday with a clean site, plenty of entertainment, but very expensive.

I have holidayed with my family at Haven for years at various different sites & have had both fantastic & appauling experiences!

I booked Presthaven Sands just for a change of area really & then I read the reveiws on various sites & though Oh my god what have I done! but I really didn't need to worry.

We had a beautiful caravan (I always clean everything when I get there as you never know whos stayed there before you & I am a little ocd! but it was honestly spottless already. Layout of the caravan was nice , easy reach of the dunes & beach which we did get lost in but all part of the adventure! Site was well managed & very friendly staff were on hand at all times.

The only gripes at all were that the cheaper one of the 2 arcades (5p per play machines instead of 10p per play) was closed for most of the week so felt a bit ripped off with that. Lifeguard at the pool was too busy chatting up young girlies to take notice of whether or not anyone may have needed his help!!

Bar prices & shop through the roof but that is Haven (we always take our own booze & make aour own entertainment). Didn't go into the restraunt as we had our dog with us but did have chippy which was meant to be traditional, only to be served frozen tesco value style chips! Couldn't eat them but couldn't get angry as the woman serving was so friendly & chatty that I didn't want to ruin her day..after all not her fault but the Holiday companys.

Only real downside to the park at all is that you can see an offshore windfarm which is completely hideous & offensive to look at, but again not exactly havens fault. Beach was beautiful & lots of walks enjoyed all week long. Dog enjoyed himself as much as anyone!! A success all round .
